Zaragoza Translation and Interpretation Services strives for excellence.

Here's a brief summary of the ethics code applicable to all services provided by Zaragoza Translation and Interpretation Services (hereunder, "ZTI"):

- ZTI shall not derive any gain from privileged information acquired in the course of work undertaken

- ZTI shall carry out all work entrusted to ZTI with complete impartiality

- ZTI and anyone working for ZTI shall maintain complete confidentiality at all times and treat any information which may come to them in the course of their work as privileged information, which is not to be communicated to any third party

- All personnel working for ZTI shall translate exclusively into a language which is either their native language or language of habitual use

- ZTI and all personnel working for ZTI shall maintain the highest standards of work

- ZTI interpreters will interpret between the various parties in the languages for which they are contracted taking all reasonable steps to ensure complete and effective communication between the parties, including intervention to prevent misunderstanding and incorrect cultural inference

- Upon selecting personnel to carry out work for ZTI's customers, ZTI shall choose members (professional translators and interpreters) of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting of the UK, or of the American Translator Association (ATA), or of equivalent local bodies in Spain and other countries, in order to ensure the maximum degree of professionalism and quality of services

- Specifically in relation to translation and interpreting work, ZTI shall keep in touch with ZTI's customers in case there are any problematic ambiguities, errors, omissions or imprecise language in the materials or tasks entrusted to ZTI for translation and interpreting, in order to solve them to the benefit of ZTI's customers

- ZTI will ensure its code of conduct is, wherever possible, more stringent than those of the ITI (UK) and the ATA (US). Wherever it's not possible to adopt more stringent procedures, ZTI will adhere to those of the ITI (UK) or the ATA (US), whichever is strictest.

The above is a summary, and is based on the Codes of Conduct of the aforementioned professional bodies - ITI (UK) and ATA (US). It's not designed as a description of every possible issue related to ethics and conduct. Such a description shall be better and more completely laid out in ZTI's service agreements with its customers.
